So, I took another run at starting my '71 Camaro that hasn't run in 10 years. And...
As it was left last week no gas was getting to the carb. One new fuel pump later, and with the addition of a little gas in the carb and a timing adjustment, IT FUCKING STARTED RIGHT UP. I repeat: IT FUCKING STARTED RIGHT UP. I still have a bunch of work to do before it's road worthy but, IT STARTED. That means it's a car, not just a car shaped pile of parts!

Holy titties! that's awesome.

Holy titties you say?

That is correct. Now why are those so disturbingly odd looking?

You only think they're odd because you haven't seen them in motion.
...I admit that this does not help as I thought it would.

This somehow made things worse...

They're too low and too spherical - like 3/4 sphere. If they were 2/3 to 1/2 sphere, they'd look less disturbing..

It's a pretty damn good feeling, isn't it? I just got my S back on the road this Summer after having sat for nearly 8 years. I nearly wept when she dropped into a nice steady idle for the first time.

Absolutely! Mine idled without an issue too, which shocked the living crap out of me. I was almost sure that I was going to have to rebuild the carb after it sat that long. We'll see how it does when given some throttle after I make sure everything is ready, though.
